UPCOMING EVENTS 

THE ANNUAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MEETING will take place in the Village /Church hall on Sun 29 Apr at 11am. This meeting is our church’s AGM. All are welcome to come along but you should be on the St Nicholas’ Electoral Roll (see below) if you wish to vote —especially in electing new members to sit on our Parochial Church Council (PCC).

GOD MATTERS   The next evening in this series will be on Wed 25th Apr at 8pm in the Hall. The subject will be ‘The Book of the Revelation’. All are welcome.

PRAYER IDEAS FOR APRIL   Please pray for: The Refresh team as they present the initial findings to the APCM; discernment as the refresh team collate the surveys, feedback and visits to groups and try to understand what God is inviting us into; the monthly prayer meeting (18.4.18) to pray for our children, young people and families; God to raise up leaders to come alongside Tim and Rachel in accompanying our young people on a Sunday evening.

FOR RAISE THE ROOF   Joanna Friel will be talking about the ‘Horrid, but Happy History of St Nicholas School’ here in church Thu 19 Apr at 2pm & 7pm, £5 per person to raise money for school project. See notice on board.

CHLOE MEETING   Thu 26 April, 7.30pm, ‘A musical evening with Ann & Muriel’ at Ann Dyer’s house, White Gates, Lubbock Road, Chislehurst, BR7 5LA, 020 8467 3957   Please telephone Ann if you are able to come.

Mothers’ Union NEXT MEETING   A Trip of a Life Time given by Jennifer Wilson on her trip to South Africa on Tue 17 Apr, 7.30pm at 11 Turnberry Way, Orpington. All welcome.

CONFIRMATION. There will be a confirmation service in Chislehurst in July. St Nicholas is running two groups for exploring confirmation starting in April: one for adults, and one for children aged 12 and over. If you would like to explore being confirmed this year, speak to Tim Boniface, 020 8295 4111.

TIM BONIFACE JAZZ QUINTET AT CHRISTCHURCH.

A concert of favourites and original material at Christ Church, Chislehurst on 26th May, 7:30, for St Nicholas School ‘Raise the Roof’ appeal. Includes much-demanded appearance from Beth Boniface on vocals. Tickets £15 (£5 under 18) available from the parish office, and from www.visitchislehurst.org.

Save the date: Summer lunch, Sunday 10 June

We’re holding our traditional church family summer lunch this year. More details soon, but keep this date free if you would like to spend a summer Sunday lunchtime enjoying good food and fellowship.
